Below are details of our investment philosophy:
1. Risk Averse - there is a way to avoid big losses with your investments. We spent years studying the markets and learned the best way to make money is to avoid losing money. 2. Independent - our only focus is investing to the best of our abilities. We are completely independent and do not accept sponsorships or ads from other companies, brokers, magazines, etc. 3. Flexible - the flaw in many investment strategies is they use information that works in certain economies, business cycles, etc. Our investment strategy success is not dependent on any of these. 4. Opportunistic - is the success of your plan based on a certain type of market? Our plan is based on strategic and safe opportunities, not any philosophy that television is selling. 5. We put our own money into our strategy on every transaction. Doesn't it make sense to require this of someone sharing their investment ideas with you? 6. Easy to manage and understand - while we put in a lot of work behind the scenes, following our plan is quite easy. We use ETFs that are easily and inexpensively purchased and make about 1 trade per month on average. We also share with you precisely what we are buying or selling and exactly when. No interpretation or guesswork is needed on your part. At RetirementX2(retirement times two) we set out to design an investment program that would provide decent returns but more importantly, protect our money without excuses. Once we learned how to invest without the big losses so common to most investors, we have been able to achieve investment returns that exceed most if not all investment programs available today.
For those who just want to see the results, you may view the graph below. We made money in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Ask your broker or about anyone else you know for that matter if they achieved that. Forgive the clarity as we haven't found a good way to transfer our graph from Excel to html without some blurring. As you can see we've performed quite well. What isn't visible is how much safer our program is than most investments your are probably in today. Our largest trade loss since we began in 2007 is 6.38% while our largest gain is 28.74%. Our strategy is safe enough for the stock portion of those who are already retired and offers the results required of those working towards retirement.
